Bio

Dave has mobility issues and uses assorted mobility devices, from a forearm walker to a mobility scooter to a powered wheelchair. But that doesn't stop him from traveling, and thanks to his wife, much to his surprise and delight, he's become a world traveler. He's literally been to the top of the world (Iceland) to the bottom (Antarctica), and east (New York) to west (Australia). He's snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef, visited South Pacific islands (New Caledonia, Vanuatu) and swam in The Baths at Virgin Gorda. He's working on collecting all the continents, and has 5 so far.  He's only missing Africa and Asia.

Dave's posts will usually include accessibility information, along with an accessibility rating and at-a-glance icons to give a quick overview of what a disabled traveler should expect. Since he's not wheelchair bound and can walk short distances, he tends to be pretty fearless on his mobility scooter and powered wheelchair.  Ever since the driver of a "mototaxi of near death" in Celestún name his mobility scooter "El Carrito", he's started naming his mobility devices.  His wheelchair is "El Rojo Grande" and since it's such a beast, the forearm walker is "Gojira".
